This Proof of Concept (POC) is an in-progress working example showcasing upcoming features and pages for Twin Cities PBS (TPT). Please note that this site is actively being developed, and some features may be unfinished or non-functional at this time. Below is a breakdown of some of the key features and functionality currently being developed.
At the top of the page, you'll see a "Login" button, which allows users to create an account using the Public Media SSO — a new development from PBS. Once logged in, the button will be replaced by the user's name and will link to their profile page.
Before accessing the profile page, users will be required to verify their email. The profile page will display data pulled from multiple sources, including Public Media SSO for account authentication and basic profile information, PBS, MVault, and Engaging Networks. This integration aims to provide users with a seamless and centralized view of their information across all these platforms.
The Livestream section features an embedded video trailer and serves as an example of how media will be presented on the platform. Below the video, you'll also find a sample donation form, complete with gift options, giving users a preview of the interactive donation experience that will be available during live broadcasts or events.
The Contact button directs users to an example contact page, where viewers can get in touch with TPT for inquiries, support, or feedback. This section is designed to showcase the simplicity and accessibility of getting in touch with the station.
The Donate button leads to a sample donation page, highlighting the benefits of contributing to TPT. This page will include detailed information about the impact of donations, how contributions support TPT's mission, and an interactive donation form that mirrors the process viewers will use during real fundraising efforts.
This POC is a working demonstration of what's to come at TPT. While we’re excited to share this preview, please keep in mind that some components are still in development and may not be fully functional. We’re continuously refining these features as we move toward delivering a more engaging and dynamic experience for all of our viewers and supporters.
